The Roundtable: “Impact Investing – Hype or Substance?” took place on Wednesday 14th April 2021

VentureWave Capital was proud to present the first in our global series of investing seminars on April 14th 2021 entitled “Impact Investing: Hype or Substance?

 

This virtual roundtable was led by an excellent lineup of speakers and panellists and it explored the key issues and trends in Impact Investing and the emerging trends of ESG investing principles.

Julie Sinnamon, CEO of Enterprise Ireland;

Martin Shanahan, CEO of IDA Ireland;

 
 

Hosted by Alan Foy, Chairman of VentureWave Capital and Kieran McLoughlin, Managing Partner of VentureWave Capital, the Seminar explored the key issues facing investors, entrepreneurs, corporations and governmental organisations as they approach the whole area of impact.

The Roundtable discussed the potential positive effects of Impact Investing, the role of the investor in driving the Impact agenda, the risks and opportunities of this new investing trend, including the negative effects of greenwashing and will explore the longer term wider role of society at large.
