Shaun has 30+ years of international business leadership experience with Ardagh Group and KPMG.  He provides strategic advice to business owners and senior executives and is an Adjunct Full Professor at the UCD Smurfit Graduate School of Business.

As the Chief Operating Officer at Ardagh Group, he led the Global Operations Executive Team in executing a growth strategy across the glass and metal packaging business. The business achieved annual double-digit revenue growth during his tenure.  He served as the Managing Partner (CEO) at KPMG in Ireland from 2013 to 2019. The company achieved revenue growth of 70%+ and headcount expansion of 50%+ during that period.  From 2015 to 2019, he was also the Lead Director at the KPMG Global Board, where he chaired the Global Board’s Governance, Remuneration and Nominations Committee and led the process of selecting and appointing the Global Chairman.

He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with First Class Honours and a Diploma in Professional Accounting with First Class Honours from University College Dublin and achieved joint first place in the Final Admitting Exam from Chartered Accountants Ireland.

Shaun is a director of and chairs the Audit and Finance Committee of The Ireland Funds (Ireland) and of AsIAm, Ireland’s National Autism charity.
