Nameer Kazzaz is a technology and innovation leader with over 20 years of experience in leadership, M&A, technical strategy, product development, networks, and IP telephony systems. As a Venture Partner at Venturewave Capital, he leverages his deep expertise to support portfolio companies in driving technological innovation and achieving impactful growth.
Nameer founded Namonics, a technology consultancy specialising in IP, telephony, security, M&A, and IoT. His pioneering work includes developing Ireland’s first national VoIP network as a senior design engineer with Smart Telecom.
Previously, Nameer served as CTO at Blueface (a Comcast Business company), StarBlue, and Star2Star Communications. At Blueface, he successfully established the company’s initial B2B service, expanded Whitelabel offerings across Europe, the US, and Asia, and led the development of a global telephony platform. He was instrumental in negotiating Blueface’s strategic acquisition by Comcast.
Nameer chaired the Fixed Number Portability (FNP) Industry Steering Committee, hosted by ComReg, leading the creation of FNP business rules and the Industry Process Manual (IPM), which maintains 98% routing accuracy and remains an industry standard today.
His technical proficiency spans IP routing, billing systems, high-availability services, VoIP, IPv6, Linux, and network services including PostgreSQL, AMQP, DNS, SS7, SIP, WebRTC, Asterisk, Freeswitch, Kamailio/OpenSIPs, LRN, ECAS, E911, STIR, and HOMER.
