Before joining Venturewave Capital, Eamon Al Sikafi was a distinguished Commercial Counsellor at Enterprise Ireland, stationed between the Embassy of Ireland in Abu Dhabi and Enterprise Ireland offices in Dubai since 2012. He played a pivotal role in advancing Irish enterprises across the MENA region, particularly within the life sciences sector. His extensive experience also spans the education, clean tech, technology, and security sectors.
Under his leadership, Irish presence within the Healthcare sector significantly increased in the MENA region. Eamon also played a pivotal role in promoting Irish education by facilitating scholarships, dual-degree programs, and exchange initiatives, resulting in a significant influx of students to Irish institutions.
Eamon facilitated over 25 high-profile trade missions, which have led to robust business connections and collaborations. Additionally, his launch of the Young Scientist Competition in the UAE has supported innovation and youth engagement in science. Through his close collaboration with the Arab Irish Chamber of Commerce and various GCC Chambers of Commerce, Eamon has solidified his reputation as a key facilitator of trade and investment between Ireland and GCC countries.
Known for his strategic vision and ability to internationalise organisations, Eamon excels in start-up mentoring, new product development, and market strategy formulation. His expertise in resource optimisation and network development significantly increased the global presence of numerous companies, resulting in increased market shares and sustainable revenue streams.
Eamon started his career at Boston Consulting Group and holds a Bachelor degree in Accounting and Finance from the American University of Dubai and a Masters degree in Healthcare Management from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. He has also completed an intensive course in Business, International Relations, and the Political Economy at the London School of Economics.
