Brendan Gaffney is Director and Co-Founder of Venturewave Group, helping shape the group’s strategic direction and development across investment, technology, advisory and private residence businesses.
He works across the group’s companies—including Venturewave Capital, Venturebeam, Venturewave Partners and Rochtaine—supporting governance, partnerships, operating priorities and international growth. His approach combines the perspective of an investor with the practical experience of building and scaling businesses.
Over a career spanning more than 30 years, Brendan helped lead the management buy-in and international development of Blueface, which grew into a global cloud communications business before its acquisition by Comcast Business in 2020. He subsequently served as President of Global Cloud at Star2Star Communications during its acquisition by Sangoma Technologies in 2021.
Brendan brings commercial analysis, operational judgement and creative problem-solving to his work with boards and management teams. His focus is on developing durable organisations, establishing clear priorities and supporting sustainable long-term growth.
Outside his executive career, Brendan is a large-scale sculptor working with recycled steel. His work has been exhibited in 42 museums and featured by Ripley’s Believe It or Not! He holds a first-class honours B.B.S. and an M.A. from Trinity College Dublin.
