Richie Boucher is a member of the Venturewave Capital Global Advisory Council.

Born in Zambia and educated at Trinity College Dublin, Richie embarked upon a career in the Banking industry in Ireland, the UK and the US. He served as CEO of the Bank of Ireland Group from 2009 to 2017.

Richie’s non-executive roles have included:

2017-2019 – Consultant/Adviser to Fairfax Financial Holdings of Canada

2020 to date – Chairman of CRH Plc, the largest building materials business in the US and Europe, quoted on the NYSE and LSE, with a market capitalisation of $60 billion.

2018 to date – Non-Executive Director of Kennedy Wilson Inc, an LA-based real estate company (primarily focused on multiple-family properties in the US and Ireland/UK complemented by real/estate-focused asset management and debt provision platforms) quoted on the NYSE with a market capitalisation of c $2 billion.

2020 to date – Chairman of Clonbio, a private family owned Irish registered company focused on renewable energy, including the largest Ethanol plant in Europe based in Hungary, a substantial Ethanol plant in Wisconsin USA, biomethane businesses in Ireland, Hungary, Serbia and Slovenia as well as animal feedstuffs products from the ethanol plants.

2021 to date – Chairman of the Investment Committee of Development Acquisition Finance, an Irish-based fund focusing on minority investments in growth-oriented mid–tier, private Irish businesses.

Since 2018, Richie has served as a member of the Provost’s Council of Trinity College Dublin.
