Colleen Murphy made her career in communications at Time Inc., initially in the public affairs department of HBO for four years, then in the $1 billion book publishing division, where she served as VP of Corp. Communications, ensuring Kurt Vonnegut’s supply of pigs in a blanket at the Celeste Bartos Forum was uninterrupted. In 1998, she relocated to London with her family.  A dual US/UK citizen originally from Virginia, she has a BA in English from the University of Richmond and an MBA from New York University.  Colleen is a longtime member of the NY Committee of Human Rights Watch.

Colleen Murphy joined the board of the Irish Repertory Theatre in NYC in 2018, a venue The Wall Street Journal hailed as “New York’s finest off-Broadway theatre.”  Critical successes include F. Murray Abraham in “Beckett Briefs,” Saoirse-Monica Jackson in “Irishtown,” and “The Weir.”
