Robert J. McCann is a member of the Venturewave Capital Global Advisory Council.

Robert J. McCann currently serves as Co-Chairman of NewEdge Capital Group, a role he assumed in early 2022 after investing in the firm in late 2021. As an active executive team member, he has been instrumental in guiding the NewEdge management team in providing elite financial advisors with the resources they need to best serve high-net-worth, ultra-high-net-worth, and institutional clients in today’s complex markets.

Previously, McCann spent 26 years at Merrill Lynch, rising to Vice Chairman and President of Global Wealth Management. From 2011 to 2017, he was CEO of UBS Wealth Management Americas and later Chairman of UBS Group AG’s North American operations, leading significant transformations in wealth management. In addition to his financial career, Mr. McCann is actively involved with the Irish Arts Centre, serving on its Executive Committee and now as President of the Board of Directors.

McCann holds a B.A. in economics from Bethany College and an MBA from Texas Christian University. He has been a governor of FINRA and a board member of the Securities Industry Association.
