Bill Murphy is a member of the Venturewave Capital Global Advisory Council.

William M. Murphy is a licensed real estate broker in the States of New York and Florida. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the National University of Ireland, a Master’s Degree in Urban Planning from New York University, and a Senior Certificate in Mortgage Banking. Mr. Murphy began his career preparing planning and real estate feasibility studies. He rose to become Vice President of Chase Manhattan Bank, in charge of real estate lending for the Southeast United States.

Since 1984, Mr. Murphy has been heavily involved in real estate development in Florida. Some of Mr. Murphy’s investment and development projects include the “Capital Bank Center”, a 200,000 s.f. office project in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, the “Executive Court at Jacaranda”, a 90,000 s.f. office project in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, the “Executive Court at Inverrary” in Lauderhill, Florida, a 90,000 s.f. office development, the “Executive Court at Cypress Creek” in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, a 60,000 s.f. office development and Lauderdale Marketplace, a 260,000 square foot retail development in Lauderdale Lakes, Florida with a residential component and rights to develop up to 1500 units. Mr. Murphy is also a 40% owner of Dolphin Properties & Investments, a Florida Company that owns 6500 apartment units in Florida. Mr. Murphy has significant interests in multiple office buildings and numerous parcels of land. Mr Murphy is also a past director of the Geo Group, a company listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), and a Trustee and Chairman of the Audit Committee of Correctional Properties Trust, a NYSE-listed real estate investment trust (REIT).

He is extensively involved in the South Florida community. Mr. Murphy serves as Chairman of the Economic Development Board of Lauderdale Lakes, Florida, as a board member of the Boys and Girls Club of Broward County, and as Director of The Ireland Funds America.
