Chenhui Wen

Dr Chenhui Wen is the CEO and co-Founder of Prime Value Capital Management (PVCM). Prior to founding PVCM in 2009, Dr Wen worked as a fund manager in the US focusing on equity investment in the Asian markets.

He combined fundamental research with value-investing discipline to discover and invest in companies that generate robust long-term returns. One of his portfolio companies was a China-based electric auto maker that has seen its market capitalisation grow by over 60 times over 18 years. His work also led to direct investment in the same company by Berkshire Hathaway in 2008 which received over 25 times return as of the beginning of 2021.

Using the same value-investing approach, PVCM entered the European market in 2013  based in Dublin.

Dr Chenhui earned his MBA degree from Columbia Business School in New York. He also holds a Ph.D. degree from Columbia Medical School, and a Bachelor of Science degree from Tsinghua University in Beijing, China. He serves on the boards of multiple portfolio companies in Europe and the US.
